Heptafluoropropane (HFC-227ea, FM-200) is an odorless, tasteless, and electrically non-conductive clean gas fire extinguishing agent. It combines high extinguishing effectiveness, low toxicity, excellent electrical isolation, and environmental friendliness. Notably, it does not deplete the ozone layer and has a short atmospheric residual time. Its environmental performance far exceeds that of halocarbons, making it the most suitable replacement for Halon 1301 and Halon 1211 currently available.
