Screw Press Sludge Dewatering Machine SS304 Automatic Volute Sludge Dryer 0.5-20 m³/h
The Screw Press Sludge Dewatering Machine is a continuously operating, low-energy solution for reducing sludge volume in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants. Its core is a slowly rotating volute screw that conveys flocculated sludge through a wedge-wire cylinder. As the screw flights progressively narrow and the gap between screw and screen changes, pressure rises, squeezing free water out through the cylinder while a dry cake is discharged at the end.

The machine eliminates the need for high-pressure pumps and centrifugal dewatering, cutting both energy consumption and maintenance, while producing a transportable cake with a dryness of up to 22% dry solids.

Key Features
  • Continuous Low-Speed Operation: The screw turns at only 2-5 rpm, resulting in minimal wear, low noise, and very low power consumption compared with centrifuges or belt presses.
  • Self-Cleaning Volute Screw: The rotating screw and the moving laminations continuously clear the screen, preventing clogging even with oily or fibrous sludge.
  • Compact Integrated Design: Flocculation tank, screw body, and drive are combined in a single skid, dramatically reducing floor space and piping complexity.
  • Hygienic Stainless Build: All sludge-contact parts are SS304 or SS316L, resisting corrosion and simplifying wash-down and sanitation.
  • High Cake Dryness: Optimised pressure profile delivers cake with up to 22% dry solids, reducing haulage volume and disposal cost.
  • Water-Saving, Odour-Controlled: The enclosed design uses very little wash water and contains odours, improving the working environment.
