The rotary mechanical decanter is a heavy duty water clarification unit designed for large SBR reactors that demand high decanting capacity and absolute mechanical reliability. A robust rotary shaft and gear drive raise and lower the decanting arm through a full operating arc, driven by a powerful motor that handles even the heaviest sludge loads. Built around a massive stainless steel framework, this decanter delivers the strength and precision required by big municipal plants processing tens of thousands of cubic meters per day.
The rotary mechanical decanter pivots around a central shaft mounted on the tank wall. During decanting, the gear motor rotates the shaft, swinging the arm downward until the weir engages the water surface at the programmed level. Effluent flows through the arm into the rotary joint and out through the fixed discharge line. When the level sensor confirms the target is reached, the motor reverses and returns the arm to its parked position above the surface.
