Product Description
The Premium Metal Mesh Screen is an advanced sand control solution engineered for optimal performance in demanding downhole environments. Its core construction begins with a high-strength base pipe, available in a range of standard oilfield materials including J55, K55, N80, L80, and P110 grades, as well as corrosion-resistant stainless steels like SS304, 304L, and 316L. The critical sand-filtering component is a precision, multi-layered stainless steel mesh (304, 304L, 316L), which is securely welded onto the base pipe. This mesh provides uniform filtration with precise micron ratings of 150, 200, 250, or 300 microns, effectively blocking formation sand while allowing maximum fluid flow.
The base pipe is perforated with precisely punched holes (standard sizes: 9mm, 11mm, 16mm, 19mm) to facilitate fluid entry into the annular space between the pipe and the surrounding filter mesh. For enhanced protection in rugged conditions, an external protective shroud, typically made of stainless steel with CNC-punched slots (gap widths from 0.5mm to 1.00mm), can be added. The entire assembly—base pipe, filter mesh, and optional shroud—is integrated via robust welding, creating a single, durable unit that resists deformation and corrosion.
Designed for versatility, the screen is available in lengths up to 12 meters and can be manufactured to custom specifications. It features standard API oilfield threaded connections such as EUE, NUE, BTC, STC, and LTC for seamless integration into completion strings. Its superior design ensures high permeability, minimal flow resistance, and exceptional resistance to acids, alkalis, and salts, making it the reliable choice for controlling sand and maximizing production efficiency.
