HZD1401 Intelligent Pipe & Cable Locator

The HZD1401 Intelligent Pipe & Cable Locator is a high-performance underground cable and metallic pipe detection instrument independently developed by Wuhan Hongzhi Gaoce Electrical Technology Co., Ltd. The system consists of a transmitter and a receiver, integrating path tracing, cable identification, and fault pinpointing into one portable solution. It is widely used in power cable route surveying, non‑contact identification of energised cables, metal pipe (gas, water, oil) detection, pre‑excavation utility avoidance, sheath fault location, and low‑resistance/open fault location for low‑voltage cables.

• Path Tracing – Active and passive detection modes with multiple frequencies for precise underground route location.

• Depth Measurement – Supports real‑time depth, averaged depth, compass target method, 80%/70% method, and 45° method for various field conditions.

• Cable Identification – Works with a flexible clamp or stethoscope for positive identification of target cables in dense bundles, ensuring construction safety.

• Ground Fault Pinpointing – Using an A‑frame and a fault‑locating voltage booster, accurately locates insulation damage and sheath faults.

• Low‑Resistance & Open Fault Location – Audio induction method helps locate phase‑to‑phase shorts, sheath faults, and broken conductors.
