The HALA-CUSTOM-EM is manufactured with full lifecycle carbon-footprint optimization: energy-efficient precision winding process, zero-cyanide electroless plating, RoHS/REACH/Halogen-Free/CM-Free/PFAS-Free material supply chain, and recyclable anti-static tray or paper-based moisture-barrier packaging. Every production lot includes a material declaration sheet confirming SVHC-free status per REACH Article 33 and full compliance with RoHS 2011/65/EU including Annex III exemptions. The air core architecture itself contributes to sustainability — no ferrite mining, no rare-earth extraction, and no nickel-zinc processing. OFHC copper winding (99.9% pure) is the sole functional material, and the winding process generates near-zero scrap (<0.3% material loss).
Air core inductors have a fundamental advantage in medical environments: μ₀=1.0 means zero ferromagnetic contamination, zero magnetostriction, and zero MRI-induced artifacts. The HALA-CUSTOM-EM extends this with ISO 13485 certified manufacturing, PPAP Level 3 documentation support, biocompatibility assessment (no ferromagnetic materials, MRI-conditional compatible, no tissue heating artifacts from hysteretic or eddy-current losses), and full per-lot traceability with per-coil 2D data matrix identification. Solderability is verified per JESD22-B102 steam-aged 8 hours, and thermal shock endurance is confirmed per IEC 60068-2-14 Na (-55 to +125°C, 500 cycles) with inductance drift <1% and Q degradation <5%. These qualification protocols align with medical device regulatory submission requirements for passive component reliability data.
