The 8% Cobalt Advantage (Red Hardness): Regular M3 steel loses its hardness at 600°F. Our M42 Cobalt teeth maintain structural integrity up to 1200°F. This "Red Hardness" is critical for 28mm diameters where peripheral speed generates high localized heat.

Q: Will the teeth strip if I hit a knot or a metal stud?

A: While M42 can handle higher heat than M3, we always recommend a drop of cutting oil for 28mm holes in metal. This extends tool life by an additional 40% and keeps the chips from sticking to the teeth.
Q: Does it fit my standard 1/2" chuck?
A: Yes. This 28mm saw uses a standard arbor interface. We recommend a 7/16" Hex Arbor for maximum torque transfer without slipping.
