Bovine collagen peptides is the collagen protein extracted from the cattle hides or skins. It contains both type 1 and type 3 collagen. The hides or skins used to produce bovine collagen is from health cattle raised for meat for human consumption. After the cattle is harvested, the hides are removed as a by-product to produce bovine collagen peptides.
