SD-3ZM D1009 YG8 Silver Brazed Preform – Semi-Finished for Custom Burr Production
The SD-3ZM D1009 is a semi-finished carbide preform manufactured from YG8 grade tungsten carbide, featuring a silver-brazed construction. YG8 contains 8% cobalt, providing good toughness and wear resistance for general-purpose rotary burrs. The silver brazing process securely joins the carbide tip to the steel shank, creating a strong and durable bond that withstands the stresses of tooth grinding and everyday use.

The preform is pre-shaped to the SD series profile, saving you time in the initial forming stage. The D1009 specification offers a consistent dimensional starting point, allowing you to focus on final tooth geometry, coating, or other customizations based on your specific application. The standard 6mm shank is ready for final processing.
