Broadcom ACPL-355JC: 10A IGBT and SiC MOSFET Gate Drive Optocoupler
The Broadcom ACPL-355JC is a 10A intelligent gate drive optocoupler designed for direct driving of IGBT or SiC MOSFETs in motor control and inverter applications. It offers high peak output current and a wide operating voltage range, coupled with fast propagation delay and excellent timing skew performance. This device provides integrated overcurrent protection with configurable soft shutdown and functional safety reporting, including FAULT feedback and UVLO status. Its compact, surface-mountable SO-16 package ensures ease of implementation, while reinforced insulation certified for IEC/EN/DIN, UL, and cUL standards enhances safety. The ACPL-355JC is ideal for mid-voltage motor drives, 1500V solar and wind inverters, and static var generators.
