The ICPL3120 is an infrared light-emitting diode optically coupled to an integrated circuit with a power driving output. It is designed to drive Power IGBT and MOSFET devices in motor control inverters and power supplies. With a 2.5A peak output current, it can directly drive IGBT/MOSFETs up to 1200V/100A ratings. For higher-rated IGBTs, it can be used to drive a discrete power stage that controls the IGBT gate.
