The HCPL-314J is an optocoupler designed for driving power IGBTs and MOSFETs in motor control inverter applications. It features an Al-GaAs LED coupled with an integrated circuit and a power output stage, providing the necessary drive voltages for gate-controlled devices. This optocoupler is suitable for directly driving small to medium power IGBTs and offers high operating voltage range. It is available in a DIP8 (single) and SO16 (dual) package and boasts safety approvals including UL recognition and IEC/EN/DIN EN 60747-5-5.
