Q1: Why can't the PLC communicate with both production and monitoring networks simultaneously?
Ensure IP addresses are on different network segments (e.g., 192.168.1.x/24 and 192.168.2.x/24). Avoid setting default gateways for both ports—typically only the intranet port needs a gateway for proper isolation.
Q2: PLC trips circuit breaker when connected to European power supply?
Verify the PLC model's power requirements. 24VDC models require proper AC-to-DC conversion—do not connect directly to 230V AC lines. Use certified switching power supplies with correct polarity.
Q3: RS485 communication instability in Middle Eastern environments?
Add surge protectors and 120Ω terminal resistors. Use shielded twisted-pair cables, proper grounding, and avoid running alongside high-voltage lines to combat high temperatures and dust interference.
