The 1228 bearing is a reliable self-aligning ball bearing designed for heavy machinery applications. With its unique spherical raceway design and double-row rolling element structure, it offers excellent self-aligning capability and load-carrying performance in industrial transmission systems.
Product Structural Design
Rolling Elements and Raceways: Features two rows of high-precision steel balls with surface roughness as low as Ra0.02μm and roundness error controlled within 1μm. The inner ring has a double-groove structure while the outer ring raceway is spherical, enabling automatic compensation for angular deviations up to 3°.
Cage: Constructed from high-quality low-carbon steel plates with optional nylon cages (PA66 + 30% glass fiber) for enhanced corrosion resistance and self-lubrication in humid environments.
Bearing Steel: High-carbon chromium bearing steel (GCr15) with hardness HRC60-65 after heat treatment, providing excellent wear resistance and contact fatigue strength.
Cage: Steel plate cages for dry/normal temperature environments; nylon cages for humid conditions (>80% humidity) with better corrosion resistance and suitability for medium-high speed applications.

Check axial movement: 0.1-0.3mm after installation
Check lubrication every 1000 hours (500 hours in dusty environments)
Monitor with vibration detector (stop if acceleration >2.5g)
Use rain shields for outdoor equipment
