Grundfos submersible pumps represent advanced hydraulic design and offer high efficiency, high resistance to sand and other abrasives, motor burnout protection and easy maintenance. Made entirely of corrosion-resistant stainless steel, Grundfos submersible pumps are ideal for applications including groundwater supply, irrigation, groundwater lowering and pressure boosting.
Submersible Pump Principle
Before starting the pump, the suction pipe and the pump must be filled with liquid. After starting the pump, the impeller rotates at high speed, and the liquid in it rotates with the blades. Under the action of centrifugal force, it flies away from the impeller and ejects outward. The ejected liquid gradually slows down in the diffusion chamber of the pump casing, and the pressure gradually increases, and then flows out from the pump outlet and the discharge pipe. At this time, a vacuum low-pressure area with neither air nor liquid is formed at the center of the blades because the liquid is thrown to the surroundings. The liquid in the liquid pool flows into the pump through the suction pipe under the action of the atmospheric pressure on the pool surface. In this way, the liquid is continuously sucked up from the liquid pool and continuously flows out from the discharge pipe.
Application scope
A Submersible pump is a water-lifting machine that is directly connected to a motor and a water pump and works in the water. It is suitable for extracting groundwater from deep wells and can also be used in water-lifting projects such as rivers, reservoirs, and canals.
