Product Description
Copper plated nail is a hardware accessory specially designed for fixing insulation cotton on ship hulls. Its core function is to firmly fix the insulation cotton on the surface of the ship hull through welding or locking plate structure, preventing the insulation layer from falling off due to ship shaking or seawater erosion. Its material is usually galvanized iron substrate with copper plating on the surface, which not only retains the strength of iron, but also enhances corrosion resistance through the copper plating layer, especially suitable for high salt spray environments in the ocean. Product Features
Common materials include low-carbon steel (such as Q195) and aluminum alloy, among which aluminum studs are lighter in weight and have better corrosion resistance than stainless steel, making them suitable for aluminum structures in ships.
Surface treatment is mostly copper plating or zinc plating. Copper plating technology improves conductivity and welding firmness, and its anti-corrosion performance is better than ordinary galvanized steel nails.
The length can be extended up to 150 millimeters, and with the use of specialized glue and general cap accessories, it can compress insulation materials (such as rock wool) and prevent loosening.
