Installation Notes
Professional installation recommended. Proper cooling system service is essential:
Allow engine to cool completely before beginning work
Disconnect the negative battery cable
Remove the fan shroud and any components blocking access
Loosen and remove the drive belt if necessary for access
Unbolt the fan from the fan clutch
Unbolt and remove the old fan clutch from the water pump hub
Inspect the water pump bearing and shaft for wear or damage
Check the fan blades for cracks, damage, or warping
Inspect the radiator for damage, debris, or blockage
Clean the water pump hub and mounting surface
Inspect the new clutch and verify it matches the original
Position the new clutch on the water pump hub and secure with bolts
Install the fan onto the new clutch and secure with bolts
Reinstall and adjust the drive belt tension if removed
Reinstall the fan shroud or components removed for access
Reconnect the negative battery cable
Start the engine and verify smooth, vibration-free fan operation
Allow the engine to reach operating temperature and verify proper fan engagement
