Installation & Maintenance Recommendations
IMPORTANT: Cylinder liner installation requires specialized equipment and mechanical competence. Professional machine shop installation is strongly recommended.
Installation Guidelines:
Remove the old cylinder liner using appropriate extraction tools
Thoroughly clean the liner bore in the engine block
Measure the block bore to ensure proper interference fit
Press the new liner into the block using hydraulic press and appropriate tooling
Machine and hone the liner to the finished bore size of 94.0mm (if semi-finished)
Plateau hone the finished bore to achieve correct surface finish
Clean the finished bore thoroughly before engine assembly
