Installation Notes
Installation steps (overview):
Remove valve cover and any related components
Remove the rocker shaft assembly or individual rocker arm (depending on design)
Inspect the rocker shaft and pushrod/camshaft for wear
Lubricate the new rocker arm's pivot bore and pad with engine assembly lube
Install the new rocker arm onto the shaft or pedestal. Ensure proper orientation
Torque the rocker arm shaft bolts or adjustment nut to specification
Adjust valve lash to OE specification (typically 0.25-0.35mm cold for Hino J-series)
Install new valve cover gasket and reassemble
Start engine and check for abnormal noise
Re-check valve lash after warm-up if required
