Product Overview: Engineered for mining applications, our spray-roughened rough-surface geomembrane combines high tensile strength (≥25MPa) with exceptional abrasion resistance. The spray-roughening process creates a rugged surface that increases friction between the membrane and tailings (mine waste), preventing slippage of tailing piles. It is resistant to heavy metals, acidic mine drainage (AMD), and other corrosive substances commonly found in mining environments.
Application Scenario: Designed for lining mine tailing ponds, heap leach pads, and acid mine drainage collection channels. It acts as a critical barrier to prevent toxic heavy metals (e.g., lead, mercury, arsenic) and acidic water from seeping into the surrounding soil and groundwater. The rough surface is essential for stabilizing steep tailing pond slopes, reducing the risk of slope failure and environmental disasters. It also withstands the impact and abrasion of coarse tailing particles during deposition.
