The Eyeglass Nickel Release Tester is designed to evaluate nickel release from metal components that come into direct contact with human skin, ensuring compliance with international safety standards.
Product Overview
According to ISO24348 and other standards, all metals in direct contact with human skin (including rings, earrings, belt buckles, eyeglasses, etc.) must be tested for nickel release. The release of nickel per square centimeter should not exceed 0.5 micrograms per week. During the nickel release testing process, the equipment uses a roller mechanism to simulate wear and tear for approximately 5 hours, effectively destroying the coating on the surface of eyeglass frames to assess nickel migration.
