Featuring an innovative outward-curved structural design, this gate ensures optimal load-bearing distribution and uniform force application. Manufactured from premium materials including high-quality grey cast iron, ductile iron, or stainless steel, with sealing surfaces fitted with bronze strips or rubber seals. Precision machining and matched lapping guarantee tight, face-to-face contact for reliable watertight performance.
For long-term operational efficiency, the sealing performance can be restored by adjusting the wedge devices if performance declines after extended use.
The sluice gate comprises a gate frame, gate leaf, guide rails, sealing strips, operating stem, lifting nut or lifting lug, and adjustable sealing mechanism. Both gate frame and leaf are manufactured from grey cast iron or ductile iron, with guide rails symmetrically arranged and connected using stainless-steel bolts and locating pins.
For small- to medium-sized gates, guide rails may be integrally cast with the gate frame. The guide-rail length typically measures approximately one-half to one-third of the gate's fully open height, delivering:
Watertight sealing is achieved through adjustable wedge devices, with sealing surfaces precision-machined from copper alloy or rubber for reliable performance. Installation options include embedded steel plates or anchor bolts, ensuring straightforward installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance with extended service life.
The sluice gate operates in conjunction with a hoist system, where the gate serves as the flow-control component and the hoist provides the necessary opening/closing force. Drive systems include manual, electric, pneumatic, or hydraulic operation, engaging gears, worm gears, worm shafts, and transmission components to rotate the drive nut or operating stem.
