Warnings & Precautions

Charging

Discharging

  • Avoid Deep Discharge: Stop using the battery before reaching the cut-off voltage (2.0V for the pack, or 1.0V per cell).
  • Temperature Management: Avoid discharging outside the recommended temperature range (-20°C to +60°C). Extreme cold reduces performance; extreme heat accelerates aging .

  • Prevent Short Circuits: Never allow the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals to connect directly. Short circuits can cause very high currents, leading to extreme overheating, terminal damage, leakage, or fire .

 

 

Storage

  • Storage State: For long-term storage (longer than a few months), it is often recommended to store NiCd batteries in a fully discharged state .
  • Cool and Dry Environment: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, moisture, and heat sources. The ideal storage temperature is between -20°C to +35°C .
