Warnings & Precautions

 

Charging
 
  • Use a Compatible Charger: Always use a charger specifically designed for NMC/Li-ion chemistry and configured for this battery's voltage (4.2V) and current limits.
 
  • Charge Within Specifications: Do not charge above the maximum voltage of 4.2V or exceed the maximum continuous charge current specified by the manufacturer.
 
  • Temperature Monitoring: Charge only within the specified temperature range (0°C to 55°C). Never charge a battery that is below freezing or feels hot to the touch.
 
 
Discharging
 
  • Avoid Over-Discharge: Stop using the battery before reaching the cut-off voltage (2.75V at >0°C; 2.50V at -20°C to 0°C).
 
  • Respect Current Limits: Do not exceed the maximum continuous discharge current (3C/180A) for prolonged periods, as this can cause excessive heat generation and potential damage.
 
  • Temperature Management: Avoid discharging outside the recommended temperature range (-20°C to 55°C).

 

Storage
 
  • Partial Charge Storage: For long-term storage (longer than one month), store the battery at a 30%-50% State of Charge (SOC).
 
  • Cool and Dry Environment: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, moisture, and heat sources. Ideal storage temperature is between -20°C to 25°C.
