Warnings & Safety Instructions

Charging

  • Use Designated Chargers: Charge only with a charger specifically designed for sodium-ion batteries with the correct voltage and current limits. Using an incorrect charger, especially one designed for lithium-ion or lead-acid batteries, is dangerous.
  • Temperature Control: Do not charge outside the recommended temperature range (e.g., -20°C to +55°C ). Charging in extreme temperatures can cause permanent damage or hazards.
  • Avoid Overcharging: Do not leave the battery connected to the charger indefinitely after it is fully charged.

Discharging

  • Voltage Limit: Do not discharge the battery below the recommended cut-off voltage (e.g., ~1.8V ). Deep discharge can irreversibly damage the battery.
  • Current Limit: Do not exceed the maximum continuous discharge current specified by the manufacturer.

  • Temperature Monitoring: If the battery becomes excessively hot during use, stop operation and allow it to cool down.

Storage & Disposal

  • Ideal Storage Charge: For long-term storage, store the battery at a state of charge between 30% and 50% in a cool, dry place.
  • Storage Environment: Store away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture. The recommended storage temperature for a similar Na-ion cell is +15°C to +35°C .

  • Disposal: Do not dispose of in regular trash. As a rechargeable battery, it must be recycled or disposed of according to local regulations at designated battery recycling centers.
