Built for the first-generation Peugeot 2008 (A94, 2013-2019), this aftermarket power tailgate retrofit replaces the original manual gas struts with a motorised lift system and adds a control module that talks to the car through the factory body computer. The kit arrives as a complete set: two electric trunk lift actuators, a relay-integrated ECU, a pre-loomed harness, mounting brackets and a template sheet for the bracket positions. Nothing needs welding or drilling into structural metal, so the conversion is fully reversible if the vehicle is later sold in original condition.

The loom plugs into the factory tailgate connector; the only connection to the vehicle is a fused positive lead at the battery and a ground point behind the rear trim. Bracket holes align with the existing strut mounting studs, so the original ball pins are reused. A first fit normally takes 2 to 2.5 hours with basic hand tools; subsequent units in the same workshop take about 60 minutes. The instruction booklet is bilingual (English and Spanish) and each carton carries a QR code to a fitting video showing the A94 trim removal sequence.
