A household appliance shredder is an industrial device designed specifically for discarded household appliances (such as refrigerators, televisions, washing machines, and air conditioners). It uses shearing, tearing, and squeezing to break the entire appliance into uniform, small pieces (typically flake-like particles, 200-300mm in size). Its core goal is to reduce the volume of large items, destroy their structure, and initially disperse their materials, facilitating subsequent sorting and recycling. As the first step in a household appliance recycling line, it is widely used in electronic waste processing, metal recycling, and plastic recycling.

Working Principle

Power and Drive System

Motor Drive: Electromagnetic force drives the motor, which is then reduced in speed and increased in torque by a speed reducer, ensuring sufficient tearing force for hard materials (such as metal frames and compressors).

Spindle and Cutter Head: The spindle is forged from high-strength alloy steel and undergoes multiple heat treatments for strong impact resistance. The cutter head is equipped with a moving blade, which works in conjunction with a stationary blade on the frame to create a shearing action.

Crushing Mechanism

Dual-Axis Shearing: Rotating and stationary blades on two rotating axes work in an interlaced manner to cut materials such as appliance casings and thermal insulation.
Tearing Action: The tips of the rotating blades contact the cylindrical surface of the spacer, tearing hard components (such as metal pipes and plastic brackets).
Extrusion Crushing: The torque of the blade shaft crushes soft materials (such as foam and rubber), achieving a preliminary separation of mixed materials.

Intelligent Control and Protection

PLC Automatic Control: Equipped with start, stop, reverse, and overload auto-reverse functions, reducing jamming and malfunctions.

Low Speed, High Torque: 8-30 rpm ensures stable operation and adapts to complex materials.

Material and Craftsmanship:
Highly wear-resistant alloy steel: such as SKD-11, 42CrMo, and Cr12MoV, with a hardness of HRC58-62 and strong impact resistance.
Surface Treatment: Salt bath furnace quenching or vacuum furnace quenching improves wear resistance and service life.
Overlay Technology: Multi-layer overlay welding (single layer height ≤ 8mm) enhances blade hardness and reduces wear.
Structure and Specifications:
Cutter Roller Type: Dual-shaft or quad-shaft designs, with 3-12 claws to accommodate different material characteristics.
Connection: Hexagonal connection ensures uniform force distribution, and modular blades allow for independent replacement of individual blades for efficient maintenance.
Size Range: Diameter 200-500mm, thickness 20-55mm, with internal holes typically hexagonal or round (with keyway). Special Design:
Spiral cutter disc: Double rollers interlock with a gap of ≤0.5mm, precisely controlling the discharge particle size (1-5mm).
