Description

 

Inconel 601 sheet is a nickel-chromium-aluminum alloy engineered to withstand extreme temperatures (up to 1,250°C / 2,282°F) while maintaining structural integrity and resistance to oxidation, carburization, and thermal fatigue. Composed of 58–63% nickel21–25% chromium, and 1.0–1.7% aluminum, this alloy forms a dense alumina (Al₂O₃) surface layer under high-heat conditions, providing unparalleled protection against corrosive media such as sulfur, chlorides, and acidic environments. Its low carbon content (≤0.10%) and balanced iron matrix ensure minimal carbide precipitation and intergranular attack, making it ideal for cyclic thermal operations in aerospace, petrochemical, and energy generation systems.

Certified to ASTM B168 and ASME SB-168 standards, Inconel 601 sheet achieves a tensile strength of 550–690 MPa and elongation of ≥30%, outperforming conventional stainless steels in high-stress applications. With a thermal expansion coefficient of 13.0×10⁻⁶/°C and thermal conductivity of 11.7 W/m·K, it minimizes distortion in rapid heating/cooling cycles, ensuring dimensional stability in gas turbine combustors, nuclear reactor components, and industrial furnaces.
