1. Product Overview
Nomay PTFE Zone Tape, also called edge adhesive PTFE tape or adhesive-free center heat sealer tape, combines PTFE-coated woven fiberglass cloth with silicone adhesive applied to selected edge areas. The center remains free of adhesive, while the exposed PTFE working surface provides non-stick release.
This construction is intended for compatible impulse heat sealers, bag-making equipment and packaging machines where the heating ribbon or sealing wire requires a cover without adhesive directly beneath the active heating path. Adhesive edge strips attach the cover to suitable mounting areas beside the heater.
Selection depends on the machine geometry, heating-element width, mounting surface, temperature, exposure time and sealing cycle. Zone tape is a selectively adhesive-coated product, not a completely non-adhesive film or a double-sided adhesive tape.

The heater setting, tape contact temperature and adhesive-edge temperature may differ. Evaluate the complete sealing cycle, including dwell time, pressure, cooling time and operating frequency. Do not assume that 260°C represents continuous operation or that 300°C is suitable for unrestricted exposure.
Peel strength:
Nomay's enterprise product-family range is 0–1200 g, as supplied. This is not a model-specific acceptance value. Confirm the applicable result, specimen width, test angle, speed, substrate and conditioning before using it for comparison or specification. Mechanical and release performance:
