1.Product Introduction Gold Separation Equipment
The Alluvial Gold Trommel Screen is the most essential piece of equipment for "placer" mining, where gold is found in loose sediments like sand, gravel, and riverbeds. Because alluvial deposits often contain high levels of sticky clay and organic debris, a standard vibrating screen is prone to "blinding." The trommel solves this by using a high-energy rotating action that tumbles the material, allowing water to penetrate and wash every pebble. This process ensures that gold particles are thoroughly liberated from the waste rock and directed into the recovery circuit, maximizing the yield of even the smallest "flour gold."
2.Application Gold Separation Equipment
Riverbed Mining: Processing sand and gravel bars in active or seasonal waterways.
Ancient Channel Excavation: Sizing and washing "deep lead" gravels found in dried-up prehistoric river systems.
Beach Sand Processing: Recovering fine gold and heavy minerals (like magnetite or zircon) from coastal deposits.
Clay-Rich Placer Deposits: Breaking down "sticky" overburden that traps gold in mud balls.
3.Working Principle Gold Separation Equipment
Scrubbing Phase: Raw alluvial material is fed into the first section of the drum (the "blind" or unperforated section). Here, internal lifters and high-pressure water jets aggressively tumble the ore to dissolve clay.
Rotary Screening: As the slurry moves into the perforated screen section, centrifugal force and gravity push the gold-bearing fines through the apertures (typically 6mm to 20mm).
Oversize Discharge: Large, barren rocks that cannot pass through the screen are tumbled out the end of the trommel and moved away via a tailings conveyor.
Concentration: The undersize slurry—now containing the gold—is funneled into a Sluice Box, Centrifugal Concentrator, or Jig for final gravity separation.

Anti-Clogging Performance: The constant rotation of the drum prevents "bridging" or "pegging," ensuring the screen remains open and efficient even with wet, muddy feed.
Higher Recovery Rates: By thoroughly washing the rocks, the trommel prevents gold from "hitching a ride" out of the plant stuck to a piece of discarded gravel.
Scalable Throughput: Available in sizes ranging from small 5 TPH units for individual prospectors to massive 500 TPH industrial plants.
Low Operational Costs: The simple mechanical design utilizes heavy-duty rollers and a chain or gear drive, requiring minimal technical expertise to maintain in remote areas.
Variable Screen Options: Trommels can be fitted with interchangeable "bolt-on" screen plates or polyurethane modules to adapt to changing ground conditions.
