Sodium Diisobutyl Dithiophosphate, designated DSP-03, is a selective aqueous collector formulated for precise flotation separation of copper, silver, lead, and zinc sulfides in complex polymetallic ore processing circuits. Unlike xanthate collectors that exhibit broad collecting power across multiple sulfide minerals, DSP-03 offers significantly enhanced selectivity, particularly valuable for Mexican mining operations processing silver-lead-zinc ores where clean separation between galena, sphalerite, and pyrite is essential for producing marketable concentrate grades. The reagent demonstrates virtually no frothing characteristics, providing metallurgists with independent control over froth phase behavior through dedicated frother addition. This clean separation profile directly translates to higher smelter payable metal contents and reduced penalty element concentrations in final concentrates.

• Exceptional Selectivity for Silver and Copper: DSP-03 is notably more selective than thiol-based collectors including xanthates and mercaptans in the flotation of copper sulfides in the presence of zinc and iron sulfides. For operations processing copper sulfides in the presence of pyrite, DSP-03 achieves superior copper grade at equivalent recovery compared to xanthate-only reagent schemes, reducing downstream smelter penalties for iron. In gold circuits treating auriferous pyrite, DSP-03 combined with xanthate provides optimized precious metal recovery while maintaining iron sulfide rejection to manage concentrate mass pull. The collector should be added after proper conditioning time in contact with the pulp to ensure efficient reaction with target mineral species.
