EXOMIST002025 High Capacity Coalescing Element - Hankison E5-28 Replacement
The EXOMIST002025 is a high flow coalescing filter element designed to replace Hankison E5-28 cartridges in large compressed air systems. Its micro fiberglass media captures oil aerosols and solid particles down to 0.01 micron with residual oil content limited to 0.01 ppm. This performance meets ISO8573-1 Class 2 for oil content, suitable for most industrial applications including sandblasting, pneumatic tools, and instrument air.
Rated at 4.9 Nm3/min, this element handles substantial air volumes while maintaining pressure drop below 0.01 bar when clean. The extended 278 mm body length provides increased media area for higher dirt holding capacity and longer service intervals compared to shorter cartridges. Weight is 0.65 kg with 61 mm outer diameter fitting standard Hankison and generic housings.
The coalescing action removes liquid oil and water simultaneously through impaction and diffusion on microglass fibers. Unlike depth filters that rely on adsorption, this element drains captured liquids to the housing sump, preventing re-entrainment. Buna-N seals and engineering plastic end caps ensure reliable operation from 1.5 to 80 deg C at pressures up to 2.0 MPa.
