It is a white powder that is odorless, tasteless, and non-toxic, capable of dissolving in cold water to form a transparent, viscous solution.
It possesses functions such as thickening,adhesion,dispersion,emulsification,film-forming,suspension, adsorption, gelation,and surface activity; it is widely used in the production processes of honeycomb ceramics, lithium-ion batteries, supercapacitors, electronic packaging, etc., to improve product yield. Its structure is C6H7O2(OH)2OCH2COONH4 and its molecular formula is C8H15O7N.
