Aluminum wrenches are a marketing problem wearing a tool disguise: buyers judge the brand by the surface before they ever test the torque. Our curved-face robotic polishing cell is purpose-built for this part family.
A force-controlled head follows the compound curves of the wrench body, polishes the flat and curved faces to a uniform finish, and deburrs the jaw edges without rounding the working geometry. Every wrench in the batch looks like the flagship sample — and the jaws still grip.
The wrench body is a mix of flats, radii and tapered sections — exactly where manual buffing goes uneven. The force-controlled head holds constant pressure while following the curve, so the transition from flat face to radius comes out seamless and uniform.
Jaw and slot edges must stay sharp to grip, yet every edge burr is a brand defect. The cell deburrs jaw edges with controlled force — removing burrs without rounding the working edge. Sharp where it works, clean where it sells.
Soft aluminum scratches easily under heavy pressure. The process package is pre-tuned for aluminum: lighter contact force, finer abrasive sequence, gentler path — so you get a clean uniform finish without burnish marks or micro-scratches.
