Pump bodies are the heaviest, messiest parts in any foundry to finish by hand: multi-port castings with internal passages, flange faces that must seal, and casting flash that hides inside volute curves. Our closed-loop robotic polishing cell is engineered for exactly this reality. A force-sensing head reads contact pressure in real time and corrects the arm path within milliseconds — so a heavy cast-iron volute gets the same clean deburr and flat seal face as the next casting in the batch. No missed burrs inside ports, no gasket-seat high spots, no hand-grinding crew.
A pump casing has inlet, outlet, drain and gauge ports — each one a burr trap. The cell finishes all of them plus flanges, lugs and the body surface in a single program, on one fixture. No re-clamping, no missed corners.
The part that determines pump quality is the seal face. Closed-loop force control holds the head at constant pressure across the whole flange, so the gasket seat comes out flat and consistent — measurable, repeatable, documented.
Pump housings are heavy and rigid — they need a machine that doesn't flex. High-rigidity arm, heavy-duty fixture and vibration-damped base handle cast-iron bodies up to 200 kg without losing finish quality on long strokes.
Foundry work is dirty, dusty, three-shift. The cell is sealed, dust-tolerant and built for continuous running: load a casting, start the cycle, unload a finished one. Automation absorbs order peaks without hiring or overtime.
