Rotary fixture spins the barrel on its axis while the robot works along the length: full coverage of a 400-700 mm body with a compact, mid-reach robot.
Both ends are reachable in one setup — inlet tube, cone transition, barrel, slash-cut tip — with no re-clamping dead zones.
Multi-piece fixtures process 2-4 mufflers per cycle: load a rack, grind all, unload a rack.

Thin-Wall Protection — Grind the Weld, Not the Wall
Exhaust tubing is thin — often 0.8-1.2 mm. One heavy pass on a bracket weld can thin the wall below spec and scrap a part that is invisible until failure.
Force control reads contact in real time: weld bead is removed, the tool lifts before the parent wall is loaded.
Cone transition and tapered sections get dedicated pressure profiles — the variable-radius geometry that breaks manual polishers' wrists also breaks their consistency.

Your machine is for "chrome-plated" mufflers — but chrome is too hard to grind. What do you actually machine?
Correct — the chrome layer is not ground. The machine works the stage before plating: weld seam grinding, deburring, and mirror base finishing of the raw material. A perfect base is what makes the plated part look like chrome, not like a mirror with defects.
