The Critical Importance of Flash Removal
On a cylinder block, flash is not cosmetic -- it is a warranty claim waiting to happen. A burr left in an oil gallery breaks free under pressure and scores a bearing. Flash in a water jacket restricts coolant flow and drops the engine into derating. A parting line lip on a machined face ruins the gasket seal. That is why block flash removal has never been a job for "best effort." Our robotic grinding machine removes flash with force feedback and adaptive path control, reaches internal galleries other processes cannot, and logs every pass into a batch record your PPAP can stand behind.
Fluid Channel Cleanliness Assurance
Oil and water galleries are the part of the block nobody can see -- and the part that fails first. Manual brushing leaves hidden burrs; chemical processes struggle with complex cores. Our cell combines robotic reach with documented force-controlled passes into internal channels, removing burrs at their root. Every gallery pass is logged -- so "clean" stops being a claim and becomes a record.

Machined Surface Protection
After rough machining, the deck face, main bearing bores and cylinder bores are near-final geometry. Any grind that touches them costs rework -- or a scrap block. Force limits are set so flash is removed up to, never into, machined surfaces. Bore-edge chamfers are cut by path, not by pressure -- no ovality, no scoring, no damaged gasket faces.
