The Deflashing Bottleneck in Mirror Housing Production
Every injection-molded mirror housing leaves the mold with parting line flash, a gate vestige and ejector pin marks. Somewhere between the molding machine and the painting line, that flash has to come off -- and in most plants it comes off by hand.
Manual deflashing is slow, inconsistent and expensive: every housing is trimmed differently, every scratch from hand handling is a potential paint rejection. Our automatic robotic grinding machine replaces the bench with a force-controlled trimming cell that removes flash flush to the surface, every part, every shift.
