This testing chamber reproduces outdoor weathering hazards that typically occur over months or years within days or weeks. Using fluorescent UV lamps to simulate sunlight and condensed moisture to simulate rain and dew, materials are exposed to alternating cycles of light and moisture at controlled temperatures.

Simulated Sunlight
Material durability damage is primarily caused by solar ultraviolet radiation. UV lamps simulate the short-wave ultraviolet portion of sunlight with minimal visible or infrared spectral energy output.

  • UVA-340 lamps: Excellently simulate short-wave UV light in sunlight from 365nm to 295nm cutoff wavelength
  • UVB-313 lamps: Emit stronger short-wave UV radiation than typical Earth surface solar radiation for accelerated material aging, primarily used for quality control and R&D
  • UVA-351 lamps: Simulate UV sunlight through windows, most effective for indoor material aging testing
Moisture Condensation Environment
Simulates outdoor wet erosion through unique condensation functionality. During test cycles, heated water vapor maintains 100% relative humidity at elevated temperatures, creating condensation on sample surfaces that mimics natural dew formation.
Precise Temperature Control
Temperature is precisely controlled throughout each cycle, with higher temperatures accelerating aging processes while ensuring test reproducibility.
Water Spray System
Simulates temperature fluctuations and rainfall effects, creating thermal shock conditions that test material durability under rapid cooling scenarios.
Irradiation Intensity Control
Optional light intensity control provides precise, reproducible results. The feedback loop system allows setting different intensity requirements while extending fluorescent lamp life.
