DIN912 is a standardized German industrial specification for hex socket head cap screws. The partial thread version features thread only on the tail end with a full smooth shank on the upper body, differing from full-thread DIN912 screws. This product series is made of high-quality carbon steel, available in 4.8, 8.8, 10.9 and 12.9 mechanical property grades, with zinc-plated surface treatment for anti-corrosion performance.

Carbon Steel Grade Differences
Class 4.8: Low-carbon steel material with tensile strength ≥400MPa. Features good toughness, low cost and excellent processing performance. Suitable for low-load, general fixed assembly scenarios such as ordinary furniture, light machinery and non-structural equipment.
Class 8.8: Medium-carbon steel with quenched and tempered heat treatment, tensile strength ≥800MPa. Balances strength and cost, making it the most versatile grade. Widely used in general mechanical equipment, automotive non-key components and conventional industrial assembly.
Class 10.9: High-strength carbon steel after precise heat treatment, tensile strength ≥1000MPa. Features outstanding fatigue resistance and structural stability. Applicable for medium-heavy load equipment, automotive core parts, hydraulic machinery and engineering machinery assembly.
Class 12.9: The highest-strength carbon steel grade in this series, tensile strength ≥1200MPa. With extreme hardness and tensile resistance, exclusively used for high-load, high-precision and high-fatigue working scenarios such as precision machinery, mold equipment and heavy industrial structural fastening.
