The MC3416-P is a compact, integrated digital output 3-axis accelerometer designed for motion sensing in cell phones and consumer products. It offers features for user interface control, gaming, electronic compass tilt compensation, and more. The device includes a dedicated motion block for detecting "any motion," shake, and tilt/flip positions. Its monolithic fabrication integrates MEMS and electronics on a single chip, ensuring low power consumption and small size. The internal sample rate is configurable from 128 to 1024 samples/second, with support for reading sample and event status via polling or interrupts.
