The Wilcoxon Sensing Technologies 787A-M8-IS is an intrinsically safe accelerometer designed for hazardous area applications. It is API 670 compliant and manufactured in an ISO 9001 facility. This accelerometer is certified for Class I, Div 1 Groups A, B, C, D; Class II, Div 1 Groups E, F, G; Class III; and Class I Zone 0 AEx/Ex ia IIC T4 hazardous locations. It is suitable for use in explosive atmospheres caused by gases, vapors, or mists where apparatus of category 1G is required, with specific installation requirements to avoid electrostatic charges. The operating temperature range for these applications is -40C to +80C, while the general operating temperature range is -55C to +120C.
