The HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Sonar Distance Sensor is a versatile and cost-effective component commonly used in robotics, automation, interactive art, and motion sensing applications. It provides accurate distance measurements within a range of approximately 2cm to 400cm, with optimal results typically observed between 10cm and 250cm. This sensor operates with a 5V power supply and features a 3V or 5V trigger input, while its echo output signal is 5V logic. To facilitate compatibility with 3V devices, two 10K resistors are included for creating a voltage divider, ensuring a safe 2.5V logic level. It is compatible with platforms such as Arduino, CircuitPython, and MakeCode.
