The Broadcom ezPyro SMD I2C Pyroelectric IR Sensors are designed for high-performance flame detection. These thin-film digital sensors integrate advanced electronic features within a compact SMD package, offering high sensitivity and fast response times for rapid and accurate flame identification. Their high dynamic range enables the detection of both small and large flames at varying distances. Featuring a digital, current-mode read-out, these sensors provide high responsivity across the typical flame flicker frequency range (3 to 30 Hz). Programmable gain and filtering offer significant flexibility in system design, while industry-standard I2C communication ensures plug-and-play connectivity with microcontrollers for easy tuning and calibration. These sensors are engineered for long-term stability and a maintenance-free operational lifespan. Options for various optical filters and daisy-chaining for synchronized sampling are available, alongside multiple low-power modes.
