The APS12450 is a three-wire planar Hall-effect sensor IC designed for automotive safety-related systems, compliant with ISO 26262:2011 for ASIL B capability. It features enhanced three-wire interface diagnostics, including interconnect open/short detection and a fault state for communicating diagnostic information. The sensor offers continuous background diagnostics transparent to the host system, reducing fault tolerant time. Options include magnetic switchpoints, temperature coefficient, and output polarity, allowing compatibility with various magnet types. It is suitable for applications requiring functional safety and high reliability in harsh environments.
