The APS12450 is a three-wire planar Hall-effect sensor IC designed for automotive safety-related systems, developed in accordance with ISO 26262:2011 for ASIL B capability. It features an enhanced three-wire interface with interconnect open/short diagnostics and a fault state for diagnostic communication, maintaining compatibility with legacy systems. Continuous background diagnostics are transparent to the host system, reducing fault tolerant time. Product options include magnetic switchpoints, temperature coefficient, and output polarity, with response adaptable to SmCo, NdFeB, or ferrite magnets. For a functionally equivalent three-wire switch, refer to the APS11450.

3 to 30 V operating voltage range with 8 kV HBM ESD protection.
Overtemperature indication.
Monolithic ICs with on-chip reverse-battery protection, overvoltage protection (40 V load dump), ESD protection, overtemperature detection, and internal voltage regulator.
Available in industry-standard SOT23W (LH) and SIP (UA) packages, both RoHS-compliant and lead-free.
