The Microchip Technology Inc. TCN75A is a digital temperature sensor that converts temperatures between -40C and +125C to a digital word with typical 1C accuracy. It features user-programmable registers for flexible temperature sensing, allowing for user-selectable resolution from 0.5C to 0.0625C. The device supports power-saving Shutdown and One-shot modes, and can output an alert signal with user-configurable polarity for thermostat or interrupt applications. Its industry-standard 2-wire, I2C compatible serial interface enables control of up to eight devices on a single bus, making it ideal for low-cost, multi-zone temperature monitoring.
