The TLE4946-2L is a high-precision Hall effect latch designed for demanding applications requiring accurate switching thresholds, even at operating temperatures up to 150C. It features a wide supply voltage range of 2.7 V to 18 V, operation from unregulated power supplies, and high stability of magnetic switching points. The device offers superior temperature stability, low jitter, and high ESD performance. Its active error compensation ensures high resistance to mechanical stress. The TLE4946-2L is ideal for detecting rotor positions in BLDC motors, index counting with small pole wheels, and applications with large air gaps, providing reliable switching information through its digital output signal.

(1) To operate the sensor at the max. switching frequency, the value of the magnetic signal amplitude must be 1.4 times higher than for static fields. This is due to the -3 dB corner frequency of the low pass filter in the signal path.
(2) Systematic delay between magnetic threshold reached and output switching.
