Description

Three Phase Decanter Centrifuge for Fish Oil is designed for continuous separation of fish oil, water phase, and protein-rich solids in fish oil recovery and fishmeal processing lines.

In fish processing, the feed stream may contain fish oil, stickwater, fine protein solids, suspended particles, bone residue, fish sludge, and process water. A three-phase decanter centrifuge separates these mixed phases continuously and helps improve fish oil recovery, reduce oil loss, remove solid impurities, and lower the load on downstream polishing or refining equipment.

How the Fish Oil Three Phase Decanter Centrifuge Works

The fish oil process stream enters the rotating bowl through the feed pipe.

Under centrifugal force, the different phases separate according to density difference:

  • Heavier protein solids, bone particles, suspended solids, and sludge move outward and form a sediment layer on the bowl wall.
  • The water phase forms the heavier liquid layer.
  • Fish oil stays closer to the center as the lighter liquid phase.

The screw conveyor rotates at a controlled differential speed and continuously pushes the separated solids toward the discharge end.

At the same time, the fish oil phase and water phase are discharged separately through different liquid outlets.
