This upper bracket (SZ952000840) sits on top of the rear air spring and hands the load from the air bag into the chassis. When it lets go, the rear end drops on that corner and the bag starts to chafe against whatever is left, so it is worth replacing the moment you see a crack or a stretched bolt hole. We build it as a cast steel unit with a powder coat finish, ready to bolt straight on.
Bolt spacing matches the factory pattern, so the original bolts and washers go back in without drilling. The powder coat shrugs off road salt and grit, and the machined seat keeps the air bag sitting square instead of cocking over and wearing on one edge.
